Inheritance
Steffen et al. (1993) provided strong evidence for autosomal recessive inheritance of this disorder in Poll Herefords in the USA. Kessell et al. (2012) provided the first report in Australia (in two Poll Hereford calves) of what appears to be the same disorder.
